Heartfelt Creations Black Friday blog hop.

Welcome to our Heartfelt Creations Black Friday Blog Hop.

You have probably arrived here from Tracy Fehr's blog, but just in case you didn't and would like to go back to the beginning, you may do so here!

Every year, Heartfelt Creations releases a special collection especially for Black Friday. This year, there are 6 new Foldout card sets. These are blank pre-scored and die cut card bases to create amazing three dimensional cards. There are also 4 new sets of dies. These are all intricate and beautiful borders that fit the die cut edges of the Foldout card bases. There are even a couple with die cut sentiments. There are a wonderful staple to add to your collection. Best part of all, is that you could win the entire release just by following along on the blog hop. Read on for more...

First up, here are a few examples of cards created using the new foldout bases. See the sentiment die on the purple card?

Here is my first example made using the new 6x6 card box, along with one of the 6x6 in foldout cards. The card fits right inside the box!

The card base is already scored and the wavy edges have been die cut. This is such a simple way to make stunning cards.

You can see that I have used one of the new border dies. They come in pairs, so that it fits going both left and right.

And here is the card box. It;s like a shadow box made from card stock. I can't wait to make more of these.

It wouldn't be Heartfelt without some floral touches.

If you would more instructions on how to re-create this project, be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations blog on Friday for this and all the other DT projects, complete with instructions. You can even print out a project sheet.

Now, more about the prize.. One person will win this entire collection. All you have to do, is follow all the way through the blog hop, leaving comments along the way.

The hop will finish on Monday the 28th of November at 11:59pm.  A winner will be chosen at random from the comments on the blog hop posts.

The winner will be announced on the HC blog post and on Facebook on Wednesday the 30th of November.

Thankful with Ruby Rocket |Alicia Barry|

With Halloween behind us, it is time to start planning for Thanksgiving here in the US.

For my cards, I decided to step away from  the traditional pumpkins and fall leaves, and stick to natural colours, and textures.  When making Ruby Rock-It cards, I like to create matching sets, using the same materials and idea, but different designs.

I started with Fundamentals card bases. I used paper from the new Raw and Rustic collection for the base layer. I used a combination of clean cut edges and distressed sides on the corrugated cardboard layers to add more interest.

For both cards, I added a fancy die cut circle layer in white to break up the brown layers. Next I added some rhinestone scrolls. I cut apart the pieces into smaller sections to spread across the card.

I added a flower to the top card and hand cut feathers

Finally, I created a sentiment using wood veneer letters over a textured image.

Heartfelt Puppies

This month at Heartfelt Creations is all about furry puppies. For this card I used the pre-printed image sheet that comes in the paper collection. The die cuts in the collection match most of the images, which makes quick and easy cards super simple.

I also used  pretty border die to help distinguish between the layers.

Lots more on the blog of course.

Spring Birthdays with Ruby Rock-It |Alicia Barry|

The leaves are starting to turn here in the States, and the winds are blowing, but I know it is spring back home so I have decided to go with that theme for a matching card set this month.

I used the same combination of supplies for each card in a slightly different design. This can be a useful formula to create multiple cards in a short time frame.

Both cards use a square card base, layered papers, new bling, a die cut label a small tag with sentiment sticker and finally some fussy cut flowers from the True Romantic paper line.

Tip: Use foam dots between layers to create dimension, and to prevent from everything blending together so much that it appears cluttered.

Here's the first little project that I created. The lid lifts off so that a little treat bag can be put inside and given as a gift. I love the expression on the cute little dog.

There are so many really great projects on the blog today using this collection, and lots that would make great gift ideas... especially with Christmas not too far away.

A final Blushing Rose share.

Today I have one last Heartfelt Creations, Blushing Rose project to share before we start with a brand new collection next week. This has been a wonderful collection to work with, so I  imagine parts of it will pop up in future projects.

If you didn't already see the Heartfelt Creation facebook page, go take a look at a video that Emma Lou made today from the office, with another peek of the new Pampered Pooches collection coming next week.

Meantime, I create this flip fold card that incorporates a gift card holder.

Check out Maureen Russell's card over on the blog today. Her colouring is incredible, and I love how she extended the rose stems to look like long stem roses.
