Heartfelt Poppies and Art Anthology

This week for Heartfelt Creations we partnered with Art Anthology for a blog hop. Art Anthology have a beautiful range of paints, so it was lots of fun to play with them. I was given some dimensional paint in lime grey and grey. To make the best use of them, I decided to make a little canvas.

 

 I used Art Anthology sorbet dimensional paints: Trolley Grey, Lime. I used the green for the background. I used the grey on the chipboard, and painted dots using a stylus. I also mixed some of it in with some thicker texture paste, which I applied through a stencil.

 

And lots of blazing poppies.

 



 

The blog post for this week included lots of projects from the whole team, along a new card making video, and a preview of the next kit coming a couple of weeks.



Heartfelt Wednesday and a craft show wrap up.

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be invited to teach for Heartfelt Creations with Arnold's Scrapbooking. I taught 3 classes of cards using the Peacock Paisley collection. I hope everyone enjoyed the class. It was also great to catch up with lots of the other tutors, and meet some new ones.

Meanwhile, there is a new collection on the Heartfelt Creations blog called Blazing Poppies. This is such a pretty collection. The blossoms are a really good size and can be shaped backwards or forwards for 2 really different looks. 

As always, there are some incredible projects on the blog this week. There is so much inspiration for both card makes and scrapbookers.

Today I have been playing with the new Krafty Goodness range from Bella! I have used a white background as a contrast to the kraft papers. I have used some strips of colour from the "Vintage" paper to add a pop of colour, and the accentuated that with a big pink flower. 

I added some glitter through a stencil to the cardstock background along with some paint spray. The fussy cut flowers are actually off an older collection- Carnival Queen.  The photo matt is created with a Spellbinder die.

Tip: I find that the flowers do flatten out a bit in the packaging while in transit, so I always like to spritz them with some water and give them a good scrunch to bulk them up again.
