Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and a Ruby Rock-It design team call.

Lots of exciting things going on at the moment. First up is my weekly contribution to the Heartfelt Creations blog. Loving the Roses on Raindrops range, and it is available right now at (Mum's shop) A Crafter's Passion.  As always, you can get the full instructions for this card over at the Heartfelt Creations blog.

In other massive news, it is time for a Ruby Rock-It Design Team call. This is an amazing and generous team to be part of it, with gorgeous product. I am so lucky to have been invited to spend this past 6 or so months designing for them. I would love to see some more of my fellow Aussies supporting this homegrown company. Please check out the details and get your submissions in.
See all the details here: http://rubyrockit.typepad.com/ruby-rock-it/2014/02/design-team-call-.html

Meanwhile, you can also check out my latest work for the blog, with these love themed cards.

More Raindrops on Roses.

Today I have another card to show using Heartfelt Creation's Raindrops on Roses. I really love this one, and this card came together so easily.  This one was on display at CHA also.

In addition to the Raindrops on Roses die and stamps, I have also used flower stamps and dies from Majestic collection.

You can get the whole instructions on how to make this card over on the Heartfelt Creations blog here.

Raindrops on Roses...one of my favourite things

Raindrops on Roses is a gorgeous new collection this month from Heartfelt Creations, and I think it is one of my favourite collections so far. Not only is it a purple based collection, but it is also floral...AND it includes an amazingly intricate die that I absolutely love. Best of all though, the cardstock releases from this die really easily, which is a bit usual for dies this detailed, and therefore a put off, but this one is perfect.

We got this collection to play with in December so it could be displayed at CHA. This is by far one of my favourite pieces for Heartfelt so far.

Heartfelt Creations and Robin's Nest

Thanks to everyone who has come to be part of the Ruby Rock-It blog hop. If you haven't seen that post yet, you can check it out here.

Meanwhile over at Heartfelt Creations this week, we have combined with The Robin's Nest. I've used some of their rubons along with some dew drops to create this card, along with some Sunny Day papers and Majestic Roses flowers.

As always, I highly recommend checking out what everyone else has made this week too. Head over to the Heartfelt Creations blog to see.

A new Ruby Rock-It blog post for the new year.

Hello Ruby Rock-it Fans!  This month, we are featuring our beautiful, vintage inspired set of NEW MINI RANGES!
We have SO many categories...Mother, Father, Christening, Family, Baby Boy, Baby Girl, 21st Birthday and Military!  Each range comes with 3 double sided patterned papers, a fun 3d sticker set, and fun die cut pack!

Today I have focused on babies, using both the Baby boy and Baby girl range. Both are very sweet, and I adore the new paper flowers to go with them. These are two different babies of course, but they look so similar. It's nice to go back and scrap some older photos sometimes.

If you were lucky enough to attend CHA in Anaheim a few weeks ago, you may have seen this one in the booth.

Here's the order of our hop, in case you get lost along the way...

Some sharing from Down Under Direct

Today I am sharing some of the work that has been up on the Down Under Direct blog lately. There are lots of great ideas there for using your Spellbinders dies. In this one, I have used a large decorative label as a photo matt. I love all the delicate details. I've also used some Aster flower toppers, and some sprigs made from a die d-lite.

This next one uses lots of flowers made from the new(ish) die d'lite blooms. I LOVE these. Again I have used a large die as a photo matt. This is the 5x7 detailed scallops, and one of my favourite dies.

And a pretty little card to share, again using a die as a frame...see a pattern here?
The flowers are die d'lites as is the leaf sprig.

Floral pretties

So obviously anyone who knows me, knows how much I like working with florals, so I was super excited about Heartfelt Creations releasing a new flower die and stamp set for January.  The collection is called Majestic Morning and is so pretty with bright colours and sweet flowers. Last week I made this three dimensional card. I used a co-ordinating background stamp first, then layered the flowers over the top for perfect placement. I love that the stamped images for the flower dies add a nice edge detail.

For the blog this week I altered a little mini lantern that I found in a $2 shop. It was already painted white, so that made this a pretty easy little project. I again used one of the co-ordinating stamps as a platform for my large flower cluster, which gave some nice little leaf details (see close up). As is often the case for me, I also added some larger leaf dies to bulk up the clusters.
This project made a nice little gift idea with some chocolates inside. I really like how this one turned out :)

As always the other designers have some really pretty projects to show with this collection too, check out the blog here.

Majestic Morning reveal

During the past week, Heartfelt Creations have released their new January line called Magestic Morning at CHA. This is such a pretty line, and the die for this collection is a new floral (my favourite). Not only that, but the petals are all joined in one single die, which makes stamping and die cutting so much easier.

Here's a layout I have had on the Heartfelt Creations blog using this line, which I am also proud to say was on display in the booth at CHA.

See, there it is on the wall (Thanks for the pic Angelica).

I also made a card that was on the blog this week.

I'll have a few more projects from this collection ready to share over the next few weeks too.

A little 2013 review

I've seen a few people posting about some of their favourite projects from last year, and thought I might follow suit.

This first one was my entry for the Spellbinder DT. I didn't make it on the team, but I still really love this project. I've used Prima papers, chipboard, and lots and lots and lots of die cuts. All the flowers are handmade.

This one was for Ruby Rock-It (partner swap with Scrap FX). Love how this turned out, and love looking at it in my scrap room.
This one was made with lots of Manor House Creations flowers. How pretty are those flowers and the delicate frames. The papers are Prima (not sure what company the chipboard is). The chipboard is all glittered.

This next one was for Down Under Direct. The flowers are all handmade. The papers are Bazzill.

This one was one of my magazine covers for the year. It's still very exciting to see my work on the front cover. The photo was from our trip to Mexico last year. I played with embossing powders on the chipboard to make it look like water drops.

And one more from Manor House Creations. Such a lovely company to design for and such beautiful flowers, makes it easy to make pretty pages.

Now onto 2014!

Another busy month gone by.

A bit slack with the posts again, but I do have lots of Heartfelt Creations work to share.

This one went up on the blog today. I adore all the flowers that can be created with the Heartfelt dies. Once they were made, the rest of the card came together really quickly and easily.

Here's one from last week, with lots of layers and naturally more pretty flowers.

I've been working on lots of projects for CHA. The ranges are so pretty. Be sure to check out the website for a sneak peek of the new range and a chance to win the whole lot.

Lastly, these are some cute little gift lolly bags I made in the lead up to Christmas for Ruby Rock-It.
