Winter time fun with Ruby Rock- It |Alicia Barry|

Winter break is over and we are back into the swing of school, but before that, we squeezed in one more winter activity with the kids. We headed off to an afternoon of ice skating with some school friends.

Christmas may be over, but I will still able to make use of the some of the Joyeaux Noel papers to create this winter layout. I accentuated the brown tonings of the papers with some copper glitter paste. I also used some sections of kraft doilies for some delicate details.

Pretty fairies over at Heartfelt Creations

I'm loving this cute little fairy images that we are getting to play with this month over at Heartfelt Creations. They are very sweet. For this card, I used a flip fold card base to create a card with extra little tags inside and a flap for a gift card etc. My Nan used to send me cards with a handwritten letter inside which would be perfect with this type of card.

You can't tell in the photo (thanks to the "sunny" California weather at the moment), but he whole card sparkles with a sprinkling of super fine glitter.

I hope you have already checked out the blog. There is a sneak peek of the upcoming Flowering Dogwood collection in time for Easter. This is a seriously stunning collection that you will love. There are also lots of phenomenal samples from the Design Team, so go there right now. Go here>>>>> Blog.

Thinking of you today

It's almost time for a new collection from Heartfelt Creations to be released, but today I have another card created with Woodsy Wonderland. This is a fancy fold card. The front flap is folded back on itself, with another panel over the top. You pull the front flap to the left to open the card.

I used a combination of both printed and stamped cardinals on this card. I love the little pop of red that they give to the card. I used an old favourite; the leafy branch to create my embellishment with leaf images from the Woodsy Wonderland collection. The branch is such a versatile stamp. I use it a lot, along with the tiny blooms from the same collection, If you don't have it, I highly recommend it.  I think this card could work for both a male or female.

There are some really lovely projects on the blog this week, including layouts and off the page projects. You can also see another preview of the next collection coming, which I am loving.
