So much prettiness with Heartfelt Creations.

The Heartfelt Creations blog this week is absolutely overflowing with amazing pieces of artwork, both in cards, layouts and off the page.

This week I have both a card and a layout to share. This is a beautiful boy we found in the Bronx Zoo a while ago. The colours are just stunning and I love the daisies ( I think that I may have mentioned that once or twice before).

Next up, is a card. I so loved making the feather embellishments on this one.

If you head over to the blog, you can see a sneak peek of the next collection called Everyday Hero. For those of us in Australia, it is absolutely perfect for your upcoming Anzac Day photos.

Pretty Peacocks.

Today  I have another card to share on the Heartfelt Creations blog, using the Peacock Paisley collection. I had so much fun playing with the beautiful colours in this collection, and I especially liked making the feather embellishments, using the Feathery swirl stamp.

I added an extra touch of elegance by stencilling a delicate design to the background with texture paste and glitter.

There are so many beautiful projects on the blog this week. I know I've said this before, but I am again blown away by the wide variety shown by the team using the same collection.

Thanks for visiting the Memory Maze blog. We are here not just to show you pretty examples using chipboard, but also to show you lots of techniques that you can try yourself at home.

You are so loved

My first project today is the result of one of our Design Team challenges. We were tasked with altering one piece of chipboard in three different ways. I began with a 12 x 12 chipboard frame which I covered in Gesso. This primes the chipboard to be able to hold lots of material and product on top.

I applied some pieces of lace and some plastic mesh in various places across the chipboard and secured this with more Gesso.

Next, I adhered some flowers and metals trinkets, and a chipboard tree (on its side) with more Gesso over the top, and once dry, I sprayed random sections of the project with paint mists in shades of teal. This really helped the texture to stand out.

Next up, I stenciled over the top of the chipboard with glitter texture paste to create the dots. I also added some touches of Glitter Glass. Finally it was time to finish off with the photo red flowers and paper embellishments.

Next up I have a layout. One of the big trends to come out of CHA was  gold foil. There were quite a number of companies featuring it in their new collections. I have created a layout using foiled and glittered  papers from Kaisercraft. I used some Metallic Lustre paint through a Memory Maze stencil to enhance the background. I used the same paint to cover my chipboard title to emulate the gold in the papers.

Heartfelt Wednesday

Another Wednesday has rolled around, which means it is time to share some more projects from Heartfelt Creations, but even better, is that it is new release day. This is such a beautiful collection, and quite different to the recent ones. The colours are so prerry to work with, and who doesn't love daisies.

Here's a little more about the new collection from the designer:

Brighten your world with the sparkling colors and mesmerizing motifs of Peacock Paisley, the exquisite spring release from Heartfelt Creations.  This lush collection sparkles with jewel tones of topaz, sapphire, amber, emerald and turquoise.  The artistic flair of exotic peacocks, intricate paisleys, frilled feathers and delightful daisies will captivate your imagination and energize your creativity.  Six sumptuous sets of intricately designed, deeply etched red rubber stamps are the perfect companions to a vibrant paper collection that is overflowing with card fronts, cut apart pages, vivid artwork, pre-designed layouts and beautifully layered backgrounds.  The Delightful Daisy Die cuts 7 perfect floral layers with one pass through your cutting system.  Whether you want to preserve life's most beautiful moments, create with mixed media techniques or design keepsake cards, you'll be proud as a peacock to present the sophisticated elegance of Peacock Paisley.

The first project I have to share is a fun flap card. I've made a few of these lately, and I think they are quite cute. There are two flaps with extra panels attached to each so that as you open and close the card, the flaps interlock with each other. I've also added  the flowers onto the different layers of the card so that they work as separate clusters when open, but combine to a large embellishment when closed.

Next up is a layout. I happened to have these peacock photos from the Bronx Zoo some years ago. I really enjoyed using the feather stamp on this one to create extra embellishments.

Of course the instructions to these and many more projects are over on the Heartfelt Creations blog, and don't forget you can add them to Pinterest or print them too. It always amazes me that we can all come up with such different projects using the exact same products. Which one is your favourite this week?

Ruby Rock-It Lovin' Layouts |Alicia Barry|

This month at Ruby Rock-It we are celebrating birthdays, and so I have out together a layout of my daughter on her 5th birthday. I decided to make use of a bunch of Ruby Rock-It and Bella! fundamentals products from different ranges to pull this layout together. I am really impressed at how well the different products work together.

I began with background paper from the Country Cookin' range, which I embellished with a stencilled design. I then used flowers and frames from the decoupage product line. I teamed that up with Fundamentals cardmaking diecuts and embossed stickers. Finally I used some lace from the Cook collection, and some Bella! florals.

Another Heartfelt Creations share.

Hi all, this week I have two projects to share with you from the Heartfelt Creations blog, both using the gorgeous Butterfly Medley collection.

First up is a butterfly themed card. Orange is not a colour I use very often, so it was fun to have a play with this one. I just adore butterflies, no matter what colour they are.

This layout is made using the same collection,. yet it looks totally different which shows how versatile this collection is. The purples in these pages suits me perfectly.

I'm very proud to have had these projects on the booth at CHA. This is the last of my CHA projects to share, which means that next week, will be a brand new collection. Be sure to check out the blog for sneak peeks and to check out the rest of the designers. Did you know that you can save any of the projects straight to your Pinterest board, and you can also print out all the instructions to keep.

Ruby Rock-It Creative Cards |Alicia Barry|

Today I have some wedding cards to share using the new Rustic Charm collection from Ruby Rock-It. For these cards I have used up some scraps from other projects, some mini papers and some die cuts.

For this first one I used an imprint card as a base and a mini print for the background. These papers have the same great design as the 12x12 papers, but in a smaller format which makes them perfect for cards.

I used a die cut shape for the sentiment. The birds image is another die cut cut into two smaller pieces. I hand cut the floral pieces from patterned paper.

This next one is built on a pre made step card. This is a larger format card, so I have used the 12x12 papers for my background.

I have added some strips and a hand cut bird image from glittered mini papers, aling with hand cut floral pieces.
