A special mini release from Heartfelt Creations

Today Heartfelt Creations has a special little extra release, which is an add on to the Peacock Paisley collection. The feather image is so cute, and I super pleased that the team have decided to follow up with a co-ordinating die.

Peacock Paisley Bundle

I had this project in mind right back when the collection came out, but I never quite found the time to handcut all those feathers, so I never got around to making it. Well, needless to say, as soon as the die arrived, I got straight to creating this, and I am really pleased with the way it turned out.

The die set also includes dies for two of the peacock stages included with the collection. I do enjoy hand cutting, but this particular image is quite detailed, so the die made it so much fatser and easier. I have a lot of people who take my classes say that they are not really into handcutting...alot of the time because they just don't think that they can do it neatly enough. Werll now there is no excuse.

Each of the feathers were stamped in embossing ink, and set with a sparkly gold embossing powder. They shimmer in such a pretty way, without being over the top (and tacky). I added some dimensional paint and stickles to the eye with a tiny prill right in the centre. See the details you can get with the die now. Not even I, fussy cut witht hat much detail, and I am pretty particular.

As always there are some incredible projects on the Heartfelt Creations blog, plus another video from the always cute Emma Lou (yes, she is every bit as adorable in real life too) on how to colour and cut these images.
