Down Under Direct Projects

If you haven't been to the DownUnder Direct blog lately, go and have a look at all the wonderful projects up there from the design team. Here's one I created using the brand new Basic lattice die. The die may not be too much to look at, but it's actually really versatile. I used it here on a bubble layout of Cammy:

Little Princess

Here's a layout that went up on the Manor House blog this week. I really love this photo of Amelie. She had picked a gerbera from my garden which she knows she is not supposed to do. Rather than waste it, I decided to make the most of it with some cute photos.

The Sweet Childhood papers from The Scrapcake were just perfect, and the ManorHouse Creations flowers make any layout amazing.

Products used: MHC flowers, Apple blossoms, Solitude, Rosettes-baby pink, Whimsy-pink, Imagine-oatmeal, Beauty-WV, Idyllic-oatmeal, leaves, The Scrapcake papers: Sweet Childhood.

Manor House Creations Introduction

Our first projects have gone up onto the Manor House Creations blog this week, so I can start to show you them here as well.

This was my first one. I haven't done a picture of myself in a very long time, so I figured this was as good a chance as any.

MHC products used: Poetry – sage, Solitude, Idyllic – Oatmeal, Poetry - white, Wintersong - embers, leaves – light green.

I especially love the oatmeal coloured flowers (the greyish ones). It's funny, I don't think I would have ever chosen them off the shelf amongst all the other colours, but now that I have them, I think they are one of my favourites as it blends in perfectly with any colour combination. 

I'll have more projects to share soon, but in the meantime, I wouold love for you to head over to the MHC blog to say Hi and see all the other amazing projects as well. 

A new Design Team

I am really excited to be able to announce that I have been chosen to join the Manor House Creations Design Team for 2012-2013. I really love the amazing flowers that this company produces, and I've been having lots of fun with my first projects that I will be able to share soon. More great news is that they are the Australian distributor for The Scrap Cake who have beautiful papers. One of the designers for that company is Karola Witczak whose work I really love and I found out just now that she is on the MHC design team too.

I also get to work with Trudi and Jo again which is always great. So funny how we seem to travel the scrapping world together . We have been on so many of the same teams, sometimes at the same time and sometimes one after the other.

Lots to share

I have lots of things going on today.

I have another project up on the DownUnder Direct blog. I used a Rose Creation die for the large flower and a spiral blossom die for the smaller ones. I am teaching a similar design to this at Somewhere To Scrap this Tuesday night if anyone would like to co me along, just contact the shop to book.

Next up, I have an online class available from today at Scrapping Outback. I really loved designing with this kit. There are still some available here.

And finally, the new kit is available from A Crafter's Passion, with project instructions from me. You can get the kit online here. This kit uses Bo Bunny Serenity. Great for my Japan trip, but also great for plenty of other themes.

First project for DownUnder Direct.

I made this rose from the Spellbinders Grand Peony die. I love this die and have a few ideas for creating different variations using the same die. I love how it comes with the leaves as well. If you would like this same die, let Mum know at www.acrafterspassion.com.au and she can get it for you.

Exciting news to share.

I am very excited to be joining the Down Under Direct Design Team.

If you are a shop owner, I'm sure you already know of them, but for everyone else, they are the Australian wholesaler for Bazzill cardstock and Spellbinders die cut systems. What's even better is that my friend Theresa from my Best Creation DT time is on the US Spellbinders team, so we have even more to chat about now, and Beck from my Helmar DT time is on the team too. I also get to work some more with Sue Smyth from Australian Scrapbook Ideas.

The Color Room

I decided to play along at The Color Room this week. Here's what I came up with for this week's palette.

This is a layout I created for the challenge at the Somewhere To Scrap retreat a couple of weekends ago. It was a great weekend, aside from the awful drive up the mountain in the rain and fog.
