New Release time- Ruby Rock-it.

I love this time of year as CHA is getting ready to kick off in Vegas. This is when all the craft companies show off their new releases, and as a designer it's even better when I get to play with the new stuff. (sometimes before the general public- love that).

This week following our blog hop/swap with The Twinery, Ruby-Rock-it/ Bella! Fundamentals have releases some sneek peeks of 4 new wedding lines, which I also happen to have on my desk. This means that not only can I share pictures, but I can also give a first hand review of the papers.

Here they are:
This first one is called At Last and I think it is my favourite. I love the contemporary colours and the soft tones. All of the papers are slightly shimmery which is nice. There are lots of journal tags which I like to cut and use for layering.

 Here's a layout I created using this range. (although my edit was a bit off, see above for more accurate tonings).

This next one is called Betrothed, and is nice for those who prefer to stick with tradition. I can imagine these would be popular for wedding stationary.

 Next up is Celebrate. I have created with this one, but can't share it just yet.It's very classic and elegant and would be especially good for layouts about the groom. This range could also be good for formals.

Last up is My  Romance.This one makes great use of a pastel colour palette just for something a bit different. This range can definitely used for far more than just weddings. My favourite page is one called Frame it. So pretty.  I look forward to sharing a layout with it.

To top off all the new ranges, there are also heaps and heaps of pretty embellishments. These have been designed around the wedding theme, rather than particular ranges, which means that one pack, will work in with some or all the 4 ranges. I espeically like the journaling tags.

A new Design Team and a blog hop to kick it off.

I am very happy to have been invited to join the 2013 Ruby Rock-It/Bella! Fundamentals design team. The invitation came at a perfect time for me, and I have already been busy working on a few projects. You can see the announcement here.

Some shares from Down Under Direct

The days keep getting away from me and updated this blog just doesn't seem to happen, so I have a lot of pics for you today.

Here are a few things I have had on the Down Under Direct blog this past month.

A little collage style easel card.

My beautiful little man. Love those Speldid circles dies.

For this I created a metal embellishment using the new Media Mixage elements.

And some more splendid circles. 

 I'm really pleased with this tealight candle holder. It was from an op shop and was really ugly. It had these hideous brown beads on it, so I removed those and gessoed the whole thing, then made my own hanging vines with all handmade flowers.

Lots of new work to share

I have lots of new bits and pieces from all over that I haven't shared yet. I worked at the Brisbane Expo last weekend, and got to meet lots of my fellow Manor House friends for the first time, including Jo, who I have known for years and years and never actually met up with. It was a lovely (but tiring day).

Here are a few ManorHouse shares to start with. You can see all of these and so many more wonderful designs from the other girls here.

This is my friend Nicole from her wedding. Our brief on this one was to use a gold colour theme, so I have used MHC mini roses and gold capri flowers.

Next up, we were asked to use purple and red together. This is not a typical colour combination for me, but I think I made it work.

And another layout using the new vines. I love these. One vine cut into three sections and the layout practically does itself.

An amazing scrappy retreat.

Manor House Creations is hosting their very first scrap retreat later this year, including lots of classes, make and takes, and naturally lots of flowers. I so wish I lived a bit closer, but alas too far for me. If you are a bit closer to Victoria though, you should really check it out.

Manor House Creations new winter release

It's new release time for Manor House Creations and it gets better every time.Not only are there new flowers, but this Great Gatsby inspired collection also includes vines (LOVE these), card packs, layout packs, little sweeties, and teeny weenies, BUT there are also feathers, trims, frames and banners. So many great things in one release.

This layout uses all new collection flowers and  includes a vine (separated into two pieces), with sunflowers, Little Sweeties and Teeny Weenies.
